The Jury Professor Martina Ziegenthaler from Hof College, specializing in textile design in specific fashion is standing in for Prof. Rudolf Schricker. Trend Adviser Gabriela Kaiser, Designer Ulf Moritz, Color Design Expert Professor Axel Venn, the Vice Governor Anneliese Ring and the Culture Office Director Friedrich Reichel, will judge the submissions in the areas of design, originality, innovation, and technical implementation and preparation, on a scale from 1 to 5 based on these criteria. After the first scoring 10 will be chosen to compete for 1st to 3rd place there will also be a notable mention awarded.The assessment occurred without disclosure of the entry.
Both 1st place with 1.500,00 € and the 2nd place with 1.200,00€ will be awarded by the City of Plauen and the Vogtland Regional representatives
1st place will also receive a digitizing software called the „Creator“ from Pulse Microsystems. The software implements advanced tools such as a direct interface with Corel Draw, the import from true type fonts into embroidery fonts and the import from graphics and vectors. The software is worth approx. 3.600,00 €.
The Tajima-embroidery machines provider Mountek has offered to present the 1st place winner with this software. (employees of embroidery software manufactures and freelance sales representatives of other embroidery software companies along with employees of embroidery machine sellers or producers are ruled out.)
The 2nd place will also receive from Madeira Garnfabrik product package worth 300,00 € the winner can choose what goes into their package themselves.
3rd place will receive 1.000,00 € from the Merkur Bank.
The notable mention award worth 500,00 € will be provided by TVP – magazine for textile finishing and promotion.
The winners will be announced on the 14th of may during an event in the Schaustickerei.
The presentation will take place on the 3rd of June in the Stadtgalerie Plauen. There all submissions will be displayed for 3 weeks
The hotel Alexandra for this purpose will offer a room free of charge for four nights.

The submissions are in! No more submissions will be received - 34 submissions in total have been accepted. The participants are not only local, but are arriving from places such as Halle and Berlin, even the Czech Republic, France and California.
